comments: The Planet Align application was created for science students aged nine to twelve to help with their learning of the solar system. This file uses dragable movie clips, changing of depths and hit checks to determine the final position. Made in four 'stages' to teach and test the students. All the graphics were made in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
instructions: Simply click and drag the desired planet to your chosen position. When completed, click the 'submit' button (the sun). If you are correct, you will be able to move on. If you are incorrect, you will have to try again. For the fourth (and final) stage, you must enter the sentence used for learning the order of the planets, followed by the inner and outer planets by their proper names in the text boxes on screen.
